We are topping out at 50 degrees right now with breezy winds around 15 mph. Expect temperatures to linger around 50 degrees and the upper 40s through the afternoon. There is a low pressure system that has moved through that will be responsible for some rain chances later this afternoon. Expect spotty showers through around 4-5 PM along with the chance for a thunderstorm. After that, rain will move out of the area. Conditions will remain breezy throughout the afternoon as well. Over the next couple of hours, gusts will increase to around 35 mph. While it does feel warmer outside, the winds will still make it feel cooler. Keep a jacket/coat handy today.
We have been placed in the marginal risk for severe weather today. While this does not mean a significant chance for severe weather, still be cautious through this afternoon. The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for possible isolated thunderstorms. They have also released a Special Weather Statement for the strong winds today. Be sure to check our social media throughout the day to keep yourself updated on the weather!
