Cool and Rainy Afternoon

We have enjoyed the past couple of warm and sunny days! We saw a record high of 85 degrees here in Muncie on Saturday! That dry period has unfortunately come to an end. This morning we woke up to rainy conditions. For now, we are still seeing rain here in Muncie, but it is not as heavy as it was earlier this morning. We are sitting cooler at 58 degrees with northwest winds staying around 10 mph. Humidity will stay high throughout the day as we see rain move through. Temperatures will not warm up too much today and rain chances will decrease once we reach the early evening hours.

As for surface analysis, we are seeing a cold front push through the state that will drop us to cold low temperatures for tonight. The low pressure system that is giving us this rain is actually extended far northward towards Canada. The cold front will cool off temperatures as we move into the evening tonight.
