A lot of people were shocked this morning as they went off to work or school. We woke up to snow on the ground! While this seems crazy, it is not uncommon. Last year around this time, we also had snow falling right here in Muncie. Spring is just a transition season, so we often see winter-like weather and summer-like weather battle it out here in the Midwest. For now, that snow will remain the grass, but roads are clear. So if you are travelling, it should not a hassle. Temperatures for now are staying cold around 36 degrees with winds around 5 mph. As for this afternoon, keep your coat handy. As temperatures rise to the 40s, we expect some rain to move in later today. Rain will be for the most part, scattered.
Overall we saw a low last night that traveled through the Midwest and this brought us our snow that we see now. That low has moved East and now we are sitting with overcast skies. We will have those scattered rain chances move in later on in the day, but it looks like the snow is gone for now. Temperatures will warm up moving into the evening, creating only chances for rain today and tonight. Have a good rest of your day!
