An active weather pattern will continue for the 5-day period with a chance of rain forecasted on most of the days in the forecasting period. Temperatures will stay near or slightly below normal for the period.
Saturday: A weak shortwave is expected to move through the area on Saturday. Almost like that an Alberta Clipper system except rain is in the forecast, not snow. The morning should be dry and mostly sunny but the evening when the rain is expected to move in. The day will not be a washout like these clipper systems are, as quick as they came in, as quick they move out. The system for sure will be gone by morning on Saturday. Highs will be in the low 50’s, morning lows around 30. Winds will be light and variable.
Sunday: A weak ridge will try to take hold of the weather, however another approaching low pressure system is expected to approach the area sometime Sunday night. There could be a chance for an isolated shower late Sunday, but chances are quite low. The day will be partly cloudy, highs in the mid 50’s, morning lows in the mid 30’s.
Monday: A weakening surface low is expected to move across the region. This could kick off the chance for some morning showers. The rain should be light and like the forecasted system on Saturday, it will not stay for long. The morning and early afternoon could be wet, but they evening for now looks to be dry. The day will be cloudy, highs in the upper 50’s, morning low around 40.
Tuesday: For now a strengthening storm system is expected to from over Arkansas, with a warm front lifting northwards. Right now it looks like it will be just rain with this system. However it might rain most if not all day on Tuesday as the strengthening low pressure system is forecasted to be over Central Indiana Tuesday evening, maximizing our rainfall potential. Highs will be around 60, lows in the upper 40’s.
Wednesday: Another strong low pressure system is forecasted to be on the heels on the Tuesday system, this one will have it’s origins from the Dakotas. This should make for Wednesday to be a cooler day than Tuesday, but other than that the results of the system should be the same, it will be raining most if not all day Wednesday with the potential for a break in the rain in the afternoon. Wednesday’s high of 55 will be likely set before noon on Wednesday, temperatures for now are forecasted to fall for much of the day Wednesday. Temperatures will fall to the mid 40’s by the evening on Wednesday.
