Good afternoon to everyone out there! As of noon at Muncie it was 52°F under cloudy skies with a breezy easy wind at 13 mph. Temperature has fallen slightly from the mid 50’s earlier in the morning. The morning band of rain has passed us by and on the radar it looks like the bulk of the rain is south of Indianapolis and we should see another hour or so of dry weather before more light to moderate way moves its way in from the south. Rain is expected for much of the afternoon and evening as the rain is expected to move northward to the Muncie area around 1 to 2pm. Light to moderate rain is expected for the remainder of the day as a surface low will slowly move over the region for the next couple of days.
The rest of the day should be windy as east to southeast winds will be up to 20 mph sustained winds with gust possibly exceeding 30 mph at times this afternoon. Additional rainfall totals up to one-half inch is forecasted for the rest of today on top of quarter of an inch we have received this morning. Temperatures will stay steady in the low to mid 50’s for the rest of the day, topping out around 55°F by the evening tonight.
