Good morning to everyone out there! There is temporary technical difficulties at the weather station at the Muncie Airport. By out current estimates the temperature as of 8:30 am was 58°F under cloudy skies, the latest wind report we have was that the wind was out of the Southeast at 6 mph. We don’t mention it a lot but the estimated current relative humidity is 70%, a climb in the humidity values is expected as the day goes on. With how dry the atmosphere has been in the past couple of days, the air will take some time to saturate and could inhibit any rain chances this morning. The atmosphere is expected to moisten by the afternoon and rain is expected later today. For the morning, rain is possible but will be light and isolated if it does. The current radar shows no rain in the state as of 9 am, any rain that were to form will move from the southwest to the northeast. When the rain will form will depend on the humidity values, the relative humidity is expected to climb to around 90% which should be moist enough for rain to fall and to reach the surface and not dry out in the upper levels of the atmosphere.
Temperatures this morning will slowly climb t around 60°F by 11 am this morning as the overcast conditions will dominate the sky today. The winds should stay in the southeast to southerly direction and will slowly pick up as the day goes on from light winds now to up to 10 to 15 mph by noon today.
