Good day out there! Hope you have gotten the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful weather we have today! As of 1pm it was 59°F at the Muncie airport under sunny skies with a breezy south wind at 14mph gusting to 23 mph. The evening will have increasing clouds, the sky will be transitioning to sunny to mostly cloudy as the evening progresses. I firmly believe we will touch 60°F by the time the day is done today, if not warmer in spots. The night will be very pleasant as well as we will only drop to the low 50’s with cloudy skies and maybe a slight chance of a rain shower as we approach midnight tonight and after as our next weather system is expected to move in the pre-dawn hours tomorrow morning. Any rain that will fall early tonight should be light, most of the heavy rain will be in the daytime hours tomorrow.
If you have the time to, take some time to enjoy the weather today, we will not likely have a dry weather day this nice for a couple weeks minimum. It is still winter! Our average highs for this time of year is around 40-45°F.
