As for now, cold temperatures continue across Muncie. We are sitting at 18°, but it feels like 5° with the wind chill factored in. Right now skies are mostly cloudy, but as we move throughout the day clouds will gradually clear out. Temperatures will remain cold throughout the day, only reaching a high of 23°. High pressure dominates most of the Midwest leaving us with clear skies for the rest of the day and for tomorrow. These clear skies will make it easier for us to warm up a bit for tomorrow.
As for precipitation, we will stay dry for today and tomorrow. Wednesday we will see precipitation chances return. With a warm high of 55°, we should see rain move through our area in the later afternoon hours and evening hours. Overall, expect us to be dry for today and tomorrow with colder temperatures. Expect a gradual warm up between today and Wednesday up to 55°. This will feel like spring for most of us! Continue to stay updated on our website for our updated precipitation updates for Wednesday!
With these warmer temperatures in our forecast, we will begin to see snow melting. Especially with temperatures reaching the mid 50s, the snow more than likely will be gone by Thursday. This also seems likely because of the rain that we will get Wednesday.
