Range of Temperatures

Today will be mostly sunny with chances for a rain/snow mix later tonight. Temperatures throughout today will remain in the upper 30s. We expect to stay dry throughout today, with the precipitation chance moving in tonight. Tonight expect temperatures to drop below freezing in the lower 20s.

Yesterday it felt a little warmer than what we have seen. Today will also feel warmer due to a warm front that passed through Muncie last night. It will stay in the upper 30s as we move throughout the day, but there is a cold front back behind the warm front. This will effect us tonight and into tomorrow. With this cold front, we also expect some precipitation. Depending on the temperature, we could see rain or snow. Accumulation from this system will be minimal, but be sure to drive safe tonight if you go out.

Observing this cold front, it is currently stretching across Texas all the way up to northern Michigan. This front will take a good amount of time to move its way through Indianapolis and then Muncie. That is why we will not see cooler temperatures until later tonight and early tomorrow. As for other areas like cities in Illinois and Missouri, they are already feeling the effects of this cold front. Not to worry, we will get our fair share of cold temperatures this week.

For the remainder of the week, we remain in 30s and even see a possible high of 41 degrees on Friday. The weekend will bring those colder temperatures back, though. Highs in the 20s for the weekend with lows back in the single digits. So be sure to enjoy these warmer temperatures while you can!
