Snow should start to wrap up soon as the evening approaches, eventually disappearing before nightfall. Those clouds will lighten up but most of those clouds will be staying around for the night well into the morning. Temperatures will dip to around 15°F tonight, while the winds will slow down from 10mph from the North-East to around 3mph from the North-West.
There is a special weather statement from the national weather service concerning the snow this afternoon as well as cold Arctic winds blowing through until tomorrow morning and possibly into the next week. Which if you are interested in reading is located below
In less local news, the NorthEast is expected to get hit by a Nor’easter over the weekend, bringing the area snow and high winds. Snowfall is expected to reach up to 15 inches of snow in some areas like southern Maine. Down below is a modeled quick look of the system moving through the NorthEast. The system itself should hit Saturday and clear up Sunday. If you were heading up there this weekend, you might want to change your plans.
