Welcome to April…oh no Apruary. After a unseasonably warm several days, temperatures finally took a dive yesterday and by this morning were down into the 20s. Unfortunately, it looks like Old Man Winter is not finished yet because snow seems to have made its return. The cause for this may be cold and unstable air and a uniform lake that may be initiating the lake effect snow. As we head throughout the day today, we expect the snow flurries to taper off and hopefully wrap up by late morning. Once the flurries are out, we will be left with mainly cloudy skies and windy conditions for the rest of today. Right now it is 32 degrees with winds coming out of the north at 12 mph. As we head throughout the day, temperatures will only moderate to the upper 30s for highs with winds coming out of the north at 12-20 mph during the day today. If you are going to be headed out later today, make sure you dress appropriately for the weather because Old Man Winter is playing any tricks this April Fools Day, he means business! Early call for next weekend is fantastic weather with temperatures in the 60s for highs both days!
