Good morning everyone! It looks like dry weather will hang on for just a hour or so longer. We almost hit 60°F around 7 am, Muncie reporting 59°F at 7 am. We are currently sitting at 57°F right now as of 8:15 am with the rain still staying off to our south and west for the time being. However that rain is expected to advance this way and expected to stay until the overnight hours. No thunderstorms, just good old fashioned rain, been a while since we had one of these all day rain events. In fact we actually need a good soaking rain! Muncie for the month of April we are currently sitting at 0.31 inches of rain for the month almost a full 2.5 inches below what we should be for this time of year, farmers starting to work the fields will certainly appreciate this rain. The rain should be light and total are expected to stay less than one-half inch for today. Flooding should be a non factor so we don’t need to get concerned about flooding for now. Going to be a colder day compared to yesterday, the 59°F we hit between 7 and 8 am could well be our high for today. Temperatures might slowly fall as the day goes on. The low for tomorrow morning should be somewhere in the mid to low 40’s.
