Good afternoon! Intense heat and humidity is expected today with temperatures soaring into the low 90s. Right now, the forecast calls for a high temperature of 92 degrees. If Muncie hits that temperature, that will set a record for October 1st with the previous record being 90 set back in 1971. Moderately strong WSW winds will usher in this warm, humid air around the periphery of a high pressure system, which should keep the Muncie area dry today. Have a great afternoon and please stay hydrated if you are going to be outside for long periods of time!
