We have been placed in a marginal risk of severe weather today. Thunderstorm chances increase after 2 PM, but will be a threat in the early evening hours. Highs in the low 90’s again today with a SW wind from 4-7 mph. The jet stream continues to stay north of us and leave us to the effects of the high pressure system to our SW. Significant CAPE values of over 3500 J/kg exist, but the cap looks to be too strong to overcome. So while thunderstorms are likely, anything more severe seems to be out of the question.
