We are already in the 80’s this morning and it is only going to get hotter. Highs will be in the mid-90’s with a W wind of 7-10 mph. The heat index will be make it feel close to 100°F. Thunderstorms are possible late afternoon to early evening. A high pressure system to the SW of us and a stationary front to the N continues to place us in this weather pattern. We continue to feel the hot temperatures from the effects of the clearing of the high. The stationary front is providing the slight instability needed for thunderstorms in the afternoon. Most of the chance for severe weather will stay to the north of us.
