This afternoon will be much cooler than usual, and very windy, as a cold front moves through Indiana and brings cool air from the north. Right now, overcast skies and temperatures in the mid-50s are hanging over Muncie. Over the next few hours, as the cold front moves eastward, temperatures will essentially stay the same, and skies will stay cloudy. Additionally, sustained winds will be averaging 15 to 20 mph, with gusts exceeding 30 mph. Scattered showers are also possible, mostly coming through Muncie during the mid-afternoon hours. In short, this will be a cool, windy afternoon, so definitely make sure to take a light jacket and drive safely as you head out today.
