Good Afternoon, but seriously how good can an afternoon be when temperatures continue to drop throughout the day into the negatives? Throughout the afternoon today expect the winds to pick up and be blowing a breeze 20-25 mph out of the west. What doesn’t help this situation is that wind gusts will be around 30-40 mph at times. This will shove wind chill values in the -10 – -25 range at times. We cannot rule out several more snow showers at this time. We have some areas of limited instability near the surface that could end up helping develop snow showers and snow squalls. Combined with the wind this could become a real problem on the roads as visibility will be at or near zero for a short time. Best course of action when being in one of these quick bursts of snow is to take it slow.
