Most of the dense fog has finally evaporated across the area. However, cloudy and dreary conditions continue, with some areas continuing to experience reduced visibility. Temperatures will rise to the lower-to-mid 40’s this afternoon, and cloud cover will remain dense. The afternoon looks to stay dry; winds will also be light around 5 mph.
Later this evening, a low pressure system will move into the area. Rain will move into the area in the overnight hours and continue through the day on Saturday. Thanks to a warm front lifting across the region, temperatures may even rise into the 50’s. A rumble of thunder is possible overnight and into the day on Saturday. Rainfall amounts over the weekend may even reach an inch, so be alert in areas that flood frequently.
