Please use caution when traveling this morning because a period of wintry mix formed a layer of ice causing slick conditions. Temperatures are below freezing and patchy freezing drizzle is expected to continue through Noon. The good news is upper air ridging will begin to form over the SE CONUS that will change our primary flow to the South or Southeast bringing in warmer, more seasonable air that will continue through the weekend. Saturday there is a chance that temperatures will break into the 50s and there maybe a few thundershowers in the vicinity.
