The strong cold front is still destined to impact the Muncie area this afternoon. There is a 70% chance for rain and/or thunderstorms. The Storm Prediction Center had issued a marginal convective outlook for our region this morning, but that has now been bumped up to a slight chance. There is an initial band of rain approaching Muncie, but is expected to die off before it reaches here. Clouds leftover from the complex may impact the region as to whether today will feature severe weather or not.
This afternoon, there is a second round of storms expected to fire up in or around the Muncie region. The question is where.
