There is currently a strengthening low pressure system situated over Lake Superior carrying with it, a strong cold front. With the cold front expected to pass through the Muncie area in the mid-afternoon to early evening time frame, there is a solid chance of rain (50%) in today’s forecast. The Storm Prediction Center issued a marginal convective outlook for our region, meaning there is a small possibility for severe weather as the rising temperatures with become a factor. Behind the cold front, temperatures are expected to drop around 30 degrees by the late evening, bringing with it, Fall-like conditions. Just in time for the first day of Fall tomorrow.
