Stormy Afternoon Ahead

We have a busy afternoon ahead for us in terms of weather. Currently we are experiencing showers with a few rumbles of thunder and some lightning. This first round of rain should move out of our area by 1pm.  Depending on when the rain moves out of the area will depend what we will see tonight in terms of severe weather. The SPC has put us under an enhanced risk for severe weather with the main threats being damaging wind and hail, although an isolated tornado is not out of the question.

Below you can find the specific risk area for wind, hail, and tornadoes. As you can see our greatest risk will come from damaging winds, but all risks are in place.

The best chances for severe weather will come late this afternoon and into the evening hours. Stay weather aware today and stay update on all things weather relating to your specific area.
