Good afternoon! I hope you enjoyed this past weekend and today. Over the weekend, East Central Indiana saw lots of sun and warm temperatures. Today there was a bit more cloud cover but temperatures were still warm. This story is going to change as we get into tonight and tomorrow.
Tonight, a strong cold front will move through the state of Indiana. With this, expect winds to pick up and rain to move into the area. It will rain throughout the evening hours (100% chance) but will end tomorrow morning. The morning hours also come with a different wake up call from what we have been used to, temperature wise. Temperatures in the morning will be in the upper 30s. But with those winds, it will feel like a wind chill in the upper 20s. The high winds will also stick around throughout the day. The high for tomorrow will be around 40, very early in the day. Temperatures will be falling throughout the day. Tomorrow will also have partly cloudy skies, with the cloud cover moving east with the rain.
For the rest of the work week, winter is coming and fast! It is December after all. Wednesday will have highs in the mid 30s and mostly sunny skies. But with high winds out of the WSW gusting to 25-30 MPH at times, it will feel very cold with wind chill temperatures in the teens. This is also going to be the story for Thursday and Friday, each of those days having mostly sunny skies and highs near 30. There is also a slight chance that East Central Indiana could see some flurries late Friday afternoon and evening. We will keep monitoring this and keep you updated as the week goes on. Be sure to bundle up these next few days because winter is here and is looking to stick around. Winter coats, hats, scarfs, and gloves are essential if you are going to be outside. Here is your 5-Day Forecast!
