Good afternoon! If you woke up early this morning and walked outside, you definitely noticed how cold it was. These are temperatures we should be seeing at the end of December/January. Wind chills this morning were in the upper teens and those will return again tonight.
Today, expect highs in the mid 30s and wind chill (feel-like temperatures) in the lower 20s and even colder at night. Winds will be out of the NE between 10 and 15 mph, which is why it will feel chilly. If you are going to be outside, do not forget to bundle up! Avoiding hypothermia and frostbite is easy if you bundle up! Have a heavy jacket, hat, gloves, and a scarf to keep yourself warm! Even though it will be cold outside, we will have sunny skies throughout the day today and into tomorrow.
This weekend Muncie will still see below average temperatures for highs. Average highs for this weekend are at 53° and we will only see temperatures in the mid 40s for highs. There are also rain chances for Sunday, mainly in the afternoon. Have a great weekend everyone!
